Destiny and Justin were high school sweethearts. Destiny becomes pregnant and, because of a misunderstanding, doesn't tell Justin. Ten years later, Justin, widowed, moves back to his hometown with his daughter as principal of the elementary school. Destiny and Justin clash immediately. Destiny, Justin, Sophia and Lily have to figure out how to be a family.
This is a short but good story. The characters have good chemistry and well developed. The situations with Sophia are both interesting but resolve them a bit too easily in my opinion.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Overlooking the somewhat unrealistic way they almost instantly reconnect in spite of the fact that she never told him about his daughter, the book is excellent. The interaction between Justin and his daughters is heartwarming and the way they eventually come together as a family is sweet. I applaud the author for creating characters and scenes that are interesting and at times unexpected. Although it is obvious that the family will end up together living "happily ever after", the path the author takes to get them there is both interesting and entertaining.
Destiny raised her daughter as a single mother due to a misunderstanding exacerbated by her immaturity. Unfortunately, she had little guidance with child rearing and raised her daughter without much discipline. There was too much bribery and caving in to her daughter's tantrums/rudeness. Despite being raised well, Destiny appeared unable to parent Sophie with any rules or firmness. Reuniting with Justin was a blessing for both Destiny and Sophie. Although initially resistant, Destiny and Sophie soon saw the benefit of rules about respect and discipline. Justin and Destiny resumed their relationship which burned as bright as ever and achieved their happily ever after. I received this book as an advance review copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is my honest review for my ARC copy. Destiny is raising her nine year old daughter on her own. Her father, Justin, has no clue she even exists. When they were young, Destiny thought she saw something that didn’t happen, which in turn, denied him the chance to be the father Sophie so desperately needs. Destiny is an awful mother. One that has no rules, no guidelines, no structure. The child walks all over her and has no respect for anyone, let alone her mother. Turns out that Justin is the new principal at Sophia’s school and it doesn’t take him long to figure things out. What follows is a crash course on parenting…and what it means to follow rules ‘strictly’ for Destiny. While Destiny drove me nuts, all’s well that ends well.
This new story from Ms. Masters really makes it clear how raising a child with loving guidelines to live within can be a good thing, but trying to be more of a “friend” or a “partner” with your child can lead to major behavioral problems. The latter is the route that Destiny Bridges followed with her daughter Sophie. The behavior of both of these females is reprehensible. Entering the situation is the new Principal of Sophie’s school, who happens to have a very personal historical relationship with Destiny. Justin Alexander and Destiny dated in high school, but I don’t want to give the whole plot line away. Suffice to say that Justin has a well behaved daughter of his own, and attempts to provide Sophie with some realistic rules and guidelines to live within. Destiny bears the brunt, and the spankings, of the challenges and changes to their new way of life. Great character development, some spankings and some very hot sex. I would give this story a full 4 star rating. I received this book as an advance review copy, in exchange for an honest review, from the publisher.

He is now is a widow with a young daughter .
Justin is the new principle of the local school and Sophia is soon brought to his attention .
After some exploring, he realizes that Sophia could be his child.
He is determined to know the truth ,even if that means a painful lesson for Destiny.
There is problems as this family blend together.Destiny is a free spirit and allows Sophia to much freedom.
On the other hand ,Justin believes in structure and rules for children .
Sophia is a spoiled brat who does not hesitate to use bribery to get her own way.
Justin starts setting limits which upsets both Sophia and Destiny.Justin's hard hand is applied to Destiny when she makes poor decisions.
This story is humorous at times.The plot is believable with witty dialogue .
I was given this book for a honest review.
I didn't like Sophie....She was written like she was older, and while being treated with no rules and such, I just didn't think she talked like any nine yr old. The discipline was few and far between and s solutions too easy. Wasn't bad but could h Aberdeen better
